Jean  Prouve

Jean Prouvé ( 1901- 1984 ) is one of the pioneers of innovative production linking furniture and 20th century architecture. He explores all the technical resources of metal. Considering “there is no difference between the construction of a chair and a house”, Jean Prouvé develops a “constructive thinking” based on a logic of manufacturing and functionality. It is the relationship between the worked material and the function which creates the aesthetics of the object.
