]]> This large painting found in the back of a workshop has never been exhibited, it is still rolled up.

This is certainly a request for decor for a theater or large restaurant as was done a lot in France after the war.

The whole thing is very bucolic, neo-romantic with a very beautiful pictorial touch.

The canvas shows signs of folding, it could easily be recut in triptych or presented as such.

The painting is nevertheless in a very good state of conservation. I would also present in another ad another one of more than 8 meters.

André Léon Chabert was a French painter and poster and advertising designer. He was born in Grenoble on February 6, 1895. A student of the landscape painter André Albertin, he regularly exhibited oil and watercolor landscapes at the Salon de la Société des Amis des Arts in his hometown from 1919. He combined his artistic career with his professional activity as an architect.
André Léon died in Grenoble on January 20, 1961.
